Bert was a Manly businessman who ran an "Oyster Saloon" on the Esplanade.
Bert had up to three "Wilfies". Wilfie III was also designed and built by NRW.
Newspaper articles mention Wilfie's being used as spectator boats for Wynnum/Manly sailing regattas.
